Traditional computer vision technique requires image processing for edge detection, corner detection and object detection of a number plate. The difficulty with this approach of feature extraction in image classification is that you have to choose which features to look for by a given image. This becomes difficult and pretty much possible when the number of classes you are trying to classify.
